Bushehr Petrochemical Complex, located in Asalouyeh, with a total area of 70 hectares, includes sour gas sweetening, ethane, methanol, olefin, polyethylene, ethylene glycol, acetic acid and vinyl acetate monomer units. The required feed of Bushehr Petrochemical Complex is provided in the amount of 324 million cubic feet (9.2 million cubic meters) per day of sour gas rich in ethane from the output of deethanization towers of phases 6, 7 and 8, which after sweetening and recovery of ethane, 852 thousand tons of ethane per year. The requirement of the olefin unit has been provided and the rest of the required ethane (in the amount of 468 thousand tons per year) is provided from the 13th phase of South Pars.

phase 1:

Phase 1 of Bushehr Petrochemical includes methanol units, ethane recycling, sweetening and related ancillary services. Bushehr Petrochemical Site 2, with an area of 20 hectares, includes methanol process units, ethane recovery along with ancillary services. Also, the confectionery unit and its ancillary services are located in site 3, which is located between phases 1 and 6, 7, 8 of South Pars in a land of 10 hectares.
