Vinyl acetate
In other words, the vinyl group is one of the alkenyl functional groups and has a carbon skeleton, sp2- or vinylic hybridized carbons.
In other words, the vinyl group is one of the alkenyl functional groups and has a carbon skeleton, sp2- or vinylic hybridized carbons. The famous and widely used examples of these compounds are polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl acetate. Vinyl compounds can easily be polymerized with the help of an initiator or catalyst. In these polymers (vinyls), the bond or double bond of the vinyl monomer is converted into a single bond and other monomers are connected to this single bond. After the completion of the reaction, free vinyl groups should not remain in the composition because it is toxic and will reduce the final performance.
